Libertas Institute is an award-winning nonprofit that changes hearts, minds, and laws. We have passed over 100 legal reforms on a wide range of topics and have educated millions of children (and their parents!) with our Tuttle Twins resources. We also operate the national Children’s Entrepreneur Market program, helping kids launch small businesses as they learn about the principles of free enterprise.
This national network of families we’ve built presents an opportunity for a new project—one for which we are seeking to hire a Director of Youth and Family Engagement (Partnership Recruitment) who is deeply motivated to help children and young adults put into practice the ideas they’ve been learning about through our work. This project is a Talent and Engagement Pipeline for the freedom movement—using the national audience we’re building to cultivate the next generation of activists, analysts, and supporters.
Our movement has long neglected families and the rising generation, instead waiting until people become adults before we approach them with our ideas. The person we hire for this position must agree with us that this is a critical failure and one which desperately needs correction. If hired, you will be the tip of the spear to build our national network and create an early-stage pipeline to support think tanks, grassroots groups, and other freedom-aligned organizations across the country.
We want to expose parents to relevant calls to action where they can make a difference in their state. This includes opportunities to attend a legislative hearing, sign a petition, attend a rally or other event, contact their elected officials, etc. We will make the process simple and convenient for them to engage while empowering them to make a difference and model for their children (and their neighbors and friends) what civic engagement should look like. We will help them be the change they wish to see in the world.
Teens and young adults who come up through our network will be provided (directly or through their parents) with information to pursue educational and professional opportunities with organizations working in their state as well as national ones. These include trainings, seminars, internships, professional networking and development, and employment opportunities.
This talent and engagement pipeline will strengthen other organizations and provide them with a steady stream of new people to support their work. This is the project you would be in charge of building and executing.
