Mountain States Legal Foundation (“MSLF”) is a nonprofit, public interest legal foundation dedicated to protecting the right to own and use property, limited and ethical government, individual liberty, and the free enterprise system. MSLF litigates cases of national significance on behalf of clients seeking to protect their private property rights and individual liberties from government overreach. Specifically, MSLF seeks to establish precedents that protect constitutional freedoms, limit the power of federal agencies, protect private property from government intrusion, and protect the right to earn a living. MSLF attorneys practice in federal and state courts, participate in agency proceedings, and write amicus curiae briefs in cases of national importance that are central to MSLF’s mission.
The Center for the Analysis of Property Rights and Innovation (CAPRI) is a market-oriented research center focusing on instilling an appreciation and understanding of the workings of laissez faire capitalism. We are about to launch an academic scholarship program for undergraduate and graduate students to provide them an appreciation of workings of unfettered markets. This program will provide mentoring, classes, and reading groups for students, expose students to outside speakers, and encourage the formation of a student free-market club. The Associate Director will be a critical part of the launch and management of this new and dynamic program.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for market-based solutions, higher education, and working with students eager to understand how market solutions improve lives. Given the nature of the job, we are looking for a candidate who is personable, charismatic, and thoughtful.
(Please note that this is not an academic post and will not involve a teaching position within the university.)
