Center of the American Experiment is Minnesota’s think tank. Its mission is to change Minnesota’s civic culture by promoting free-market, limited government policies. In addition to writing and commissioning papers, holding public meetings, and informing legislators, the Center engages in an aggressive outreach program including op-eds, radio ads, videos, emails, an active web site (www.americanexperiment.org), a quarterly magazine, Thinking Minnesota, Facebook, and more. Through these means, the Center brings conservative messages to millions of Minnesotans.
The Center is looking for an Outreach Director to spearhead efforts to increase our presence in Greater Minnesota. The Director will do this identifying and recruiting allies in cities and towns outside the Twin Cities metro area. The Director will empower these allies to engage others in their communities with the Center’s work. This engagement will include connecting people to Center’s publications, arranging public meetings with Center staff, making connections with potential supporters and donors, and conveying information to the Center about their community’s policy and issue concerns. This role will complement and expand the work being done by the Center’s Greater Minnesota Coordinator.
The Outreach Director will report to the Center’s President, John Hinderaker. This role will require significant travel around Minnesota, the expenses of which will be reimbursed.
American Experiment is growing, and the Outreach Director position offers tremendous opportunity for professional development.
