Assistant Program Manager – Napolitan Institute – Virtual

June 30, 2025

About Napolitan Institute:

Napolitan Institute is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to lift up and amplify the voice of the American people so loudly that it cannot be ignored in the halls of power.

We are launching an innovative new program that leverages the power of AI to extract crucial insights from data to better understand the views and values of the American people. This program will be the first of its kind in unearthing voter sentiments across a wide variety of topics. Our goal is to better understand what Americans want and to connect those desires with policymakers at all levels of government.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Program Manager to support this exciting initiative. You would be responsible for bridging the development of the initiative with the strategic goals of our organization.

About the Role:

The Assistant Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the overall planning, execution, and success of our new AI powered insights program. This role requires a unique blend of engagement with AI developments, program management expertise, and a passion for leveraging data to drive meaningful conversations in the public dialogue. You will work closely with the Executive Director, partner organizations, and internal stakeholders to ensure the program delivers valuable insights that inform our mission-driven work.

The Assistant Program Manager will report directly to the Executive Director. This is a full-time, virtual position that can be based anywhere in the United States. Domestic travel of up to 20% for meetings may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Strategy and Planning: Help develop and implement the overall program strategy, including defining goals, objectives, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Technical Oversight: Collaborate with technical teams (including external vendors) to oversee the development and deployment of AI models and platforms for processing and analyzing data. Training will be provided to help you understand the process, but no technical coding knowledge is required.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams (program staff, research, communications) and external partners (polling organizations, technology providers, donors).
  • Project Management: Manage all aspects of the program lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Data Interpretation, Moderation, and Application: Work with research teams and program staff to interpret and moderate the insights generated by the AI models and translate them into high impact deliverables. This will require sound judgment and an ability to discern if responses should/should not be included.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress, measure impact, and report findings to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ethical Considerations: Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI and polling data, including data privacy and bias mitigation.
  • Communication and Advocacy: Communicate program findings and insights effectively to internal and external audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and productive working environment across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Grant Reporting and Fundraising Support: Contribute to grant proposals and reports by articulating the program’s goals, activities, and impact.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in program management, preferably within a nonprofit or AI focused company.
  • Experience working with data and technology, with a strong understanding of analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to travel, up to 20%.
  • Proven ability to support complex projects with multiple stakeholders and timelines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • A strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization and a belief in the wisdom of the American people.
  • Experience in building and maintaining partnerships.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Social Sciences, Public Policy, Computer Science, Data Science, Program Management).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience collaborating with data scientists or engineers.
  • Experience working with polling data, survey research, or public opinion analysis.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

Compensation:

The projected salary range for this role is $60,000-$80,000, plus benefits package. This salary is contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.

To Apply:

To apply, qualified individuals should submit the following application materials in one PDF document:

  • Cover letter including:
    • An introductory paragraph describing three distinct reasons you are drawn to Napolitan Institute’s mission and the AI-driven insights initiative.
    • Salary requirements

Wait, You’re a Nonprofit?

Talent Market is a nonprofit. We’ll wait here while that sinks in. We know it’s a crazy concept, but it’s been working like a charm since 2009.

Talent Market’s mission is to promote liberty by providing talent for critical roles within the free-market nonprofit sector.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )

Talent Market believes that the road to prosperity is paved with freedom and that the success of our movement hinges on the talent that will take us there.
