The Fund for American Studies (TFAS) mission is to develop courageous leaders inspired and equipped to protect and advance the ideas of individual liberty, personal responsibility, and economic freedom in their communities and throughout the world. TFAS offers transformational programs that teach the principles of limited government, free-market economics, and honorable leadership to students and young professionals in America and around the world. TFAS’s Student Journalism Association, launched in 2023, is active at more than three dozen college campuses and reaches more than 500 students. About the Role

The Fund for American Studies is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Journalism Program Officer to join their team. This person will be responsible for working on a caseload of campus publications to manage and grow TFAS’s Student Journalism Association by providing support to current campus publications, identifying students for new publications, and working with individual campus journalists. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting free press, have strong organizational skills, and possess a background in journalism or a related field. The James Madison Institute (JMI) is a Florida-based research and educational organization whose ideas are rooted in a belief in the U.S. Constitution, limited government, economic freedom, federalism and individual liberty coupled with personal responsibility. The Institute’s mission is to keep the citizens of Florida informed about their government and to shape our state’s future through the advancement of practical free-market ideas on public policy issues.

About the Role:

The James Madison Institute seeks a full-time development associate to manage the development database and direct mail campaigns while providing support within the fund development department. Candidates for the position of development associate should be able to demonstrate an understanding of public policy from a free-market perspective, with special emphasis on the issues facing the state of Florida. Candidates must be energetic in promoting the goals and views of The James Madison Institute (JMI) with the goal of increasing JMI’s donor support.

Civil Rights Litigator – Center for American Liberty – Virtual

About the Center for American Liberty
Center for American Liberty (CAL) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to defending the free speech rights and civil liberties of Americans left behind by other civil rights organizations. The Constitution guarantees individual liberties, but we’ve observed that there is a coordinated assault on our civil liberties from corporations, politicians, socialist revolutionaries, and inept or biased government officials.

Founded in 2018 by Harmeet Dhillon, CAL is leading the fight against this assault on liberty by holding the assailants accountable through the courts. Having won 3 religious liberty cases at the U.S. Supreme Court in 2021 on behalf of faithful Californians challenging Governor Newsom’s various COVID restrictions, CAL is now litigating a wide array of cases, including cases against Rose City Antifa, the State of Colorado, the State of Vermont, and various elected officials across the country. Our cases range from parental rights cases in schools, to de-transitioner cases against physicians, to free speech cases on the United States Capitol Grounds.

Job Summary
Reporting to and working closely with the Director of Litigation, the Civil Rights Litigator is responsible for supporting litigation efforts at all stages, including intake of new cases; counseling clients; legal research; drafting demand letters, complaints, motions, and other litigation documents; reviewing documents produced in discovery; and drafting appellate documents. Top applicants will have judicial clerkship experience, superior writing skills, and litigation experience.

The Civil Rights Litigator can work from a virtual office anywhere in the US.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )
