RJE Empowerment Foundation, the Emmet family’s newest private grantmaking foundation, is committed to the values of liberty and opportunity. The Foundation, at the direction of its Board, intends to support a variety of causes, including improving public policy, supporting liberty and opportunity for every American, improving mental health outcomes in communities, and increasing access to high-quality education for every child and family. About the Opportunity
Under the direction of the Vice President of Programs, the Program Assistant will help ensure that the Foundation’s grantmaking procedures and processes are consistently applied; provide administrative, research, and project management support; and offer technical assistance and support in maintaining electronic grant records. This is a fully remote position with minimal travel.

Candidates should have:
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- At least 1-3 years of related experience.
- Alignment with and passion for the RJE Empowerment Foundation’s mission.
Responsibilities
Provide support with the grant-making and monitoring process by:
- Performing administrative tasks including assisting with travel arrangements, answering phones, scheduling meetings, taking minutes and notes during meetings, etc.
- Respond to inquiries and facilitate introductory meetings.
- Provide support to applicants using the grant application portal.
- Inputting, auditing, and managing data in the grants management system and overseeing shared file data.
- Overseeing the application portal and application portal user profiles.
- Maintaining accurate and updated organization and contact data.
- Inputting interactions and grantee updates.
- Performing periodic audits of the grants management system and shared file data to ensure documents and associated files are appropriately labeled and stored.
- Overseeing the documentation of processes and procedures related to the grants team, ensuring information is up to date and accurate.
- Assembling and distributing materials, including but not limited to agendas, formal Foundation correspondence, grant-making meeting materials, reports, and memos.
- Serving as a conduit to staff members and teams to ensure timely sharing of relevant updates, processes, and more.
- Coordinating with the Operations Manager to: 1) ensure newsletter content is planned and deadlines are communicated, and 2) board-initiated requests are addressed promptly.
- Managing the events list by recording invitations, communicating invitations to the board and staff, and responding to the event host.
- Conducting basic research on potential and current grant recipients.
- Supporting the planning and execution of Foundation trainings and meetings as needed.
Compensation
- The projected salary range for this role is $60,000-$75,000, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
