About the Role
Philanthropy Roundtable is seeking a Development Operations Associate to assist the Roundtable’s development team with donor relationships and database management. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who would thrive in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support a mission-driven fundraising team.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Strategic Engagement, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to support high-impact fundraising efforts. A natural curiosity and the initiative to learn and adapt to new systems, particularly within CRM platforms like Salesforce, will set them up for success.
This role will be expected to work from the Roundtable’s Washington, DC office at least 3 days a week.

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Coordinate and execute the processes for (1) recording revenue, (2) maintaining accurate and detailed revenue records, and (3) thanking donors for their contributions.
- Interface with Finance team to ensure timely and accurate entry of new revenue
- Optimize and manage the Development team’s Salesforce system by ensuring accurate donor records and performing basic database queries to generate reports to improve donor insights and support fundraising and relationship-building goals
- Conduct research on current or prospective donors including biographical research, wealth screenings, donation history, and more to support events, webinars, and as needed for donor travel
- Aid in tracking the internal grant submissions and reporting processes for all donors
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating donor meetings, managing related communications, and arranging travel logistics as needed to support donor engagement efforts
- Serve as liaison between development, marketing and communications, and events teams
- Support the development team with administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of professional experience in development-related field
- Relevant internship experience will be considered
- Alignment with mission of Philanthropy Roundtable
- Strong computer skills: excellent use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams and Excel; experience with a CRM database such as Salesforce (preferred) or Raiser’s Edge required
- Strong communication skills
- Working knowledge of development processes, particularly backend
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Solutions oriented – ready to suggest improvements and enhancements as needed and carry these suggestions through to completion
- Minimal travel as needed, up to 5%
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
Compensation
The projected salary range for this role is $60,000-70,000. This salary is contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
