Director of Development – Beacon Center of Tennessee – Nashville, TN or Virtual in TN

May 14, 2025

The Beacon Center is Tennessee’s premier free market policy and public interest litigation organization. Beacon is pound for pound the most effective and efficient state-level think tank on the planet. With a staff of just a dozen, Beacon has achieved remarkable victories that have empowered Tennesseans to reclaim and protect their freedoms. Our recent accomplishments include:

  • Repealing the state death tax and Hall Income Tax, becoming just the second state in history to eliminate an income tax. These tax cuts have cumulatively saved taxpayers more than $5 billion to date.
  • Bringing universal school choice to families all across Tennessee.
  • Leading the effort to enshrine right-to-work in the Tennessee Constitution, an amendment that passed with 70% of the vote in 2022.
  • Advancing free market healthcare reforms, including direct primary care, an overhaul of Tennessee’s certificate of need laws, Medicaid work requirements, and a Right to Try Law that allows terminally ill patients to access life-saving treatments.
  • Helping usher in the nation’s first Right to Earn a Living Act to bring about occupational licensing reform, and successfully repealing multiple licensing laws, resulting in Tennessee leading the nation in the reduction of licensing barriers.
  • Winning numerous lawsuits protecting Tennesseans’ economic liberty and property rights, including a case cited by the U.S. Supreme Court expanding property rights protections nationwide.

Litigation Counsel/Senior Litigation Counsel – New Civil Liberties Alliance – Arlington, VA

April 29, 2025

About the New Civil Liberties Alliance
You may have heard that NCLA took down Chevron deference last year. Well, we are just getting started, and now is a great time to join us! NCLA pursues precedent-setting litigation to enforce constitutional limitations against the Administrative State. NCLA has devised and executed strategies for four significant Supreme Court cases, including Relentless v. Dept. of Commerce (companion case to Loper Bright) and Cochran v. SEC. Having accomplished one of our founding objectives—to overturn Chevron—NCLA has other equally ambitious goals left to pursue. NCLA seeks to immediately hire experienced trial counsel and top-notch constitutional thinkers who share its passion for restoring constitutional constraints on governmental entities.

Founded in 2017 by Columbia Law School professor Philip Hamburger, the New Civil Liberties Alliance is a nonpartisan, nonprofit law firm, which engages in public-interest litigation to defend and restore the liberty established by the U.S. Constitution. NCLA fights unlawful administrative power’s disregard of constitutional freedoms, such as jury-trial rights, due process of law, and free speech. If you are a lawyer who lives, eats, and breathes constitutional law but doesn’t mind getting into the administrative weeds where the Constitution is too often forgotten, but ever useful, then we want to hear from you!

Description of the role
NCLA is hiring for both Litigation Counsel and Senior Litigation Counsel positions. [Read more…]

Wait, You’re a Nonprofit?

Talent Market is a nonprofit. We’ll wait here while that sinks in. We know it’s a crazy concept, but it’s been working like a charm since 2009.

Talent Market’s mission is to promote liberty by providing talent for critical roles within the free-market nonprofit sector.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )

Talent Market believes that the road to prosperity is paved with freedom and that the success of our movement hinges on the talent that will take us there.
