The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE), a pioneering force in the liberty movement since 1946, is seeking an innovative and visionary FEE Studios Director to lead our video content strategy into a new era of growth and impact.
FEE’s mission is to inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. These principles include individual liberty, free-market economics, entrepreneurship, private property, high moral character, and limited government.
As the FEE Studios Director, you will play a critical role in revolutionizing education by transforming complex economic and philosophical concepts into engaging, accessible, and impactful video content that deeply resonates with younger audiences. This position involves providing creative direction, leading production teams, and ensuring that every piece of content aligns with FEE’s mission to inspire and educate the next generation about the principles of free markets and individual liberty.
FEE is seeking a dynamic leader with the vision to shape FEE’s video content for the future, skillfully blending traditional and modern media approaches while maintaining our steadfast commitment to liberty-oriented content. The goal is to expand our influence and grow our viewership across diverse platforms.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in media production, a deep intellectual grounding in liberty principles, and a proven track record of managing and motivating high-performing teams. They should possess the ability to balance creative innovation with strategic objectives, attract a distinguished audience, and effectively engage younger generations.
This person will manage 4 individuals and report directly to the President of FEE. This position is based in FEE’s Atlanta, GA office. This role is hybrid insofar as candidates will be allowed to work from home 1-2 days per week.
This senior leadership role involves:
- Leading and mentoring a team of creative professionals, including producers, editors, writers, and on-camera personalities
- Managing the entire production process for all shows, from ideation through post-production, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to
- Developing a vision for FEE’s video content, including launching new series and enhancing existing ones
- Collaborating with FEE Studios to produce innovative multimedia projects that resonate with young people and drive traffic to FEE’s platforms
- Ensuring all content meets high standards for accuracy, quality, and brand alignment
- Demonstrating strong management team skills, fostering collaboration, and maintaining clear communication across all levels of the organization
- Monitoring industry trends and audience insights to ensure FEE Studios remains at the forefront of media production and distribution
Objectives:
- Develop and implement a video content strategy that balances creativity with strategic goals
- Produce innovative content that appeals to younger generations without compromising intellectual depth
- Increase engagement with FEE’s platforms, including YouTube,and social media channels
- Maintain the high standards of FEE’s established brand while innovating for growth
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in media production and creative leadership
- Strong creative vision with the ability to translate abstract ideas into compelling visual content
- Strong intellectual grounding in the liberty movement
- Proven track record of managing high-performing teams and multimedia strategies
- Demonstrable expertise in digital media platforms, particularly YouTube and social media channels
- Ability to attract high-quality talent and engage a diverse audience
- Ability to create and manage a detailed production calendar, ensuring that all video projects are completed efficiently, meet deadlines, and maintain high production standards
- Ability to travel on occasion; up to 10%
- Private sector experience preferred
