The role:
The Development Operations Associate plays an integral role in the Development Department, supporting mission-critical functions. This position is responsible for executing a variety of operational and research tasks seamlessly and with professionalism. It provides an excellent introduction to a development department for someone desiring a career in non-profit fundraising.
This role reports to the Chief Development Officer and can be executed virtually anywhere in the United States, though being based in Atlanta, GA is strongly preferred. If virtual, the person in this role will be required to visit FEE headquarters in Atlanta, GA twice a year.
Responsibilities:
- Record all gifts in Salesforce and ensures timely, accurate donor acknowledgments
- Support quarterly revenue reconciliation between the Development and Finance teams
- Conduct prospect research to identify mission-aligned donor opportunities
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of donor data in Salesforce
- Collaborate with data team to run Salesforce reports to help inform projects and decision-making
- Coordinate with the office manager to execute development-related mailings
- Assist with department file storage organization and management
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- 1-2+ years of professional experience; internships may be considered experience development experience a plus
- Exceptional candidates just entering the workforce will also be considered
- Personal alignment with FEE’s mission
- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
- Experience with Salesforce a plus, but training will be provided
- A team player and contributor with a “can-do” mentality
