The Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) is a pioneering force in the liberty movement since 1946. FEE’s mission is to inspire, educate, and connect future leaders with the economic, ethical, and legal principles of a free society. These principles include individual liberty, free-market economics, entrepreneurship, private property, high moral character, and limited government.
Role Overview
FEE is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Chief Program Officer (CPO) to lead its education and student engagement initiatives. The CPO will spearhead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of FEE’s educational programs, such as seminars, teacher training, and in-classroom events. This role requires a strategic, mission-driven leader with a deep commitment to economic education and a proven record in program management. Working closely with FEE’s president and senior leadership, the CPO will ensure programs engage and inspire students, advancing FEE’s mission to promote economic education and free-market principles.
The CPO will manage two directors and a team of 11 individuals and report to the President of FEE. This is a full-time hybrid position located in Atlanta GA.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Strategy:
- Oversee FEE’s Education and Student Engagement teams, ensuring the highest standards of program design and delivery
- Develop and implement a strategic roadmap to expand FEE’s educational offerings, including seminars, bootcamps, hackathons, and fellowships
- Align all programs with FEE’s mission, contributing to long-term organizational goals and impact
Program Development & Evaluation:
- Lead the creation of rigorous, engaging, and impactful educational content and resources
- Use data and feedback to assess program performance, ensuring continuous improvement and maximum impact
- Manage program budgets, timelines, and resources to support efficient and effective delivery
Team Development & Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the education and student engagement areas
- Work cross-functionally to align programs and integrate them with other FEE initiatives, ensuring a cohesive customer journey across all FEE offerings
External Partnerships & Representation:
- Build partnerships with universities, academic institutions, and other organizations to expand FEE’s reach and enrich program offerings
- Represent FEE at external events and conferences, promoting our educational initiatives and building relationships with key stakeholders
Qualifications
- 5+ years in educational leadership, program management, or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven ability to design, implement, and scale educational programs with measurable results
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and engaging diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with and enthusiasm for FEE’s philosophy
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or higher preferred
