About Do No Harm
Do No Harm is a membership nonprofit made up of physicians, nurses, medical students, patients, and policymakers focused on keeping identity politics out of medical education, research and clinical practice. We believe in making healthcare better for all – not undermining it in pursuit of a political agenda. Do No Harm seeks to highlight and counteract divisive trends in medicine, such as “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” and youth-focused gender ideology.
About the Role
The Partner Advocate will report to the Senior Director of Programs and will provide support to the Programs & Research team. As the first point of contact for many member and source inquiries, this role requires strong communication skills, discretion, and the ability to assess and respond to requests effectively.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, builds trusted relationships, and handles sensitive information with care. The Partner Advocate will play a key role in engaging with members, processing incoming tips, and ensuring inquiries are addressed promptly and appropriately.
The Partner Advocate must embrace the mission of Do No Harm and be passionate about connecting with like-minded individuals who often entrust us with sensitive or confidential information. This individual will have the enthusiastic support of the organization’s leadership, who are equally passionate and committed to fostering strategic relationships with our members and external supporters.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receive and process inquiries, concerns, and requests from sources, members, and potential members on the phone, via video conferencing, or in writing (e.g., email).
- Identify and respond using the member’s/source’s preferred method of communication.
- Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and perform follow-up to ensure the appropriate connection is made.
- Process information from incoming tips (which may be received via various online forms, emails, or messages from another Do No Harm team member) in the lead tracking system (Basecamp).
- Identify incoming messages and submissions that are hostile toward Do No Harm and report to supervisor if needed.
- Based on the member’s/source’s communication style and context of the information submitted, interpret the situation to determine his/her true motivation for disclosing the information.
- Use utmost discretion when responding to tips or inquiries. Most members and sources request anonymity when sharing information; this must be upheld at all times.
- May be requested to assist with tasks that are needed for special events, fundraisers, or awareness campaigns.
This full-time position is remotely based with 15 percent travel expected.

- Strong writing and editing skills (knowledge of English language, grammar, spelling, and punctuation) and attention to detail.
- Strong critical and analytical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to:
- Work with minimum supervision and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
