- Coordinate closely with the Executive Vice President and Policy team to ensure EPIC’s objectives are being met.
- Find innovative ways of expanding EPIC’s reach and influence.
- Create a comprehensive media and communications strategy that will enable EPIC to continue to grow, as well as structure day-to-day outward information flow.
- Assist with creating talking points and recommended approaches to issues, including preparation for Hill testimony and media interviews.
- Analyze EPIC’s digital footprint and reach, and create comprehensive reports and updates to showcase these metrics and demonstrate growth for EPIC leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience with digital media, communications, or relevant field, including undergraduate or internship experience, is preferred.
- Strong understanding of EPIC’s primary audiences (the Hill and policymakers) and know how to effectively reach that audience.
- Network of communications contacts and familiarity with key players in the digital ecosystem.
- Flexibility in working with the Policy team to ensure EPIC’s message aligns with the policy objectives and adapting tactics to fit the organization’s goals.
- Familiarity with or ability to learn hosting platforms and other tools used for media and EPIC’s digital presence.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to write in an organization’s “voice” for continuity.
- Creative and innovative approach to communications.
- Positive demeanor and strong work ethic.
- A belief in free markets, limited government, and a faith in the capacity and ingenuity of the American people.
Salary
The projected salary range for this role is $50,000-70,000, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate. We are also willing to explore higher compensation for an exceptional candidate or a lower range for a promising, less experienced candidate.
