Our vision is to build and sustain a vibrant American philanthropic movement that strengthens our free society. To achieve this vision, the organization pursues a mission to foster excellence in philanthropy, protect philanthropic freedom and help donors advance liberty, opportunity and personal responsibility.

Since 1991, Philanthropy Roundtable has served individual philanthropists and foundations to refine their giving strategies to maximize the impact of their resources, as well as emerging donors and entrepreneurs who are developing their philanthropic plans for the first time. The Roundtable is the leading organization in the United States focused on promoting and defending the pivotal role private giving plays in strengthening our communities and how freedom and wealth creation make charitable giving possible.

Our staff is diverse in experience and perspective. We are mission-driven, results-oriented, entrepreneurial, courageous and team-oriented.

  • Comfortable balancing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Effective at working with data and identifying opportunities for greater efficiency

Job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinate and execute the processes for (1) recording revenue, (2) maintaining accurate and detailed revenue records, and (3) thanking donors for their contributions.
  • Interface with Finance team to ensure timely and accurate entry of new revenue
  • Optimize and manage the Development team’s Salesforce system by ensuring accurate donor records and performing basic database queries to generate reports to improve donor insights and support fundraising and relationship-building goals
  • Conduct research on current or prospective donors including biographical research, wealth screenings, donation history, and more to support events, webinars, and as needed for donor travel
  • Aid in tracking the internal grant submissions and reporting processes for all donors
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating donor meetings, managing related communications, and arranging travel logistics as needed to support donor engagement efforts
  • Serve as liaison between development, marketing and communications, and events teams
  • Support the development team with administrative tasks as needed

  • 2-3+ years of professional experience in development-related field
    • Relevant internship experience will be considered
  • Alignment with mission of Philanthropy Roundtable
  • Strong computer skills: excellent use of Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Teams and Excel; experience with a CRM database such as Salesforce (preferred) or Raiser’s Edge required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Working knowledge of development processes, particularly backend
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Solutions oriented – ready to suggest improvements and enhancements as needed and carry these suggestions through to completion
  • Minimal travel as needed, up to 5%
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field

Wait, You’re a Nonprofit?

Talent Market is a nonprofit. We’ll wait here while that sinks in. We know it’s a crazy concept, but it’s been working like a charm since 2009.

Talent Market’s mission is to promote liberty by providing talent for critical roles within the free-market nonprofit sector.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )

Talent Market believes that the road to prosperity is paved with freedom and that the success of our movement hinges on the talent that will take us there.
