About Common Sense Institute Colorado
CSI is a nonpartisan research organization dedicated to the protection and promotion of Colorado’s economy. As a leading voice for free enterprise, economic mobility and opportunity, CSI’s mission is to examine the fiscal impacts of policies, initiatives, and proposed laws so that Coloradans are educated and informed on issues impacting their lives.

CSI’s founders were a concerned group of business and community leaders who observed that divisive partisanship was overwhelming policymaking and believed that objective and sound economic analysis could help Coloradans make fact-based and common-sense decisions.

CSI’s neutrality policy means we do not advocate: Our currency is credibility as an objective analyst. But our work can help others advocate for common sense solutions in public policy.

CSI is chronicling the good and the bad in Colorado – just the facts. Our gifted team of economists and bi-partisan policy fellows provide the facts on the most pressing issues of the day. We employ rigorous research techniques and dynamic modeling to evaluate the potential impact of these measures on the Colorado economy and individual opportunity. Our infrastructure of technical expertise gives us an ability to provide policymakers and voters with a clear, detailed view of what laws and legislation mean in the real world.
