WHY WE CREATED OUR AWARDS

At Talent Market, we know that finding and keeping top talent is not just important—it is mission-critical. Thatʼs why we created the Talent Market Awards.

These awards are our way of giving a well-deserved high-five (and maybe some bragging rights) to the individuals and programs that go above and beyond to strengthen the liberty movement. And because great work deserves more than just recognition, weʼre putting our money where our mission is—winners will also receive financial recognition.

After all, great people make great organizations, and we think that is worth celebrating!

Nominations for our 2026 awards open on Tuesday, October 13th. 

PROGRAM OF THE YEAR

Talent Market’s Program of the Year Award recognizes an established talent development program (5+ years old) with a demonstrated track record of helping people build careers in the liberty movement. The program must be run by a liberty-advancing 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Nominees must be free-market talent development programs, such as internships, fellowships, clerkships, professional development programs, or similar initiatives, and may serve talent at any career level (junior, mid-career, or senior).
 
The winning program will receive $10,000 in recognition of its exceptional work, with $7,500 designated for the program and $2,500 designated as a bonus for the program coordinator/director.

ROOKIE PROGRAM OF THE YEAR

Talent Market’s Rookie Program of the Year Award celebrates an emerging talent development program (launched within the last four years) that develops talent for the liberty movement and addresses an important need or expands the talent pipeline.  The program must be run by a liberty-advancing 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Nominees must be free-market talent development programs, such as internships, fellowships, clerkships, professional development programs, or similar initiatives, and may serve talent at any career level (junior, mid-career, or senior).
 
The winning program will receive $10,000 in recognition of its exceptional work, with $7,500 designated for the program and $2,500 designated as a bonus for the program coordinator/director.

SECRET WEAPON

Talent Market’s Secret Weapon Award spotlights a free-market nonprofit staff member who adds tremendous value to his/her organization and the liberty movement from behind the scenes. The Secret Weapon can be an accounting ace, IT whiz, operations guru, or other talent who makes significant contributions but doesn’t get the spotlight. The Secret Weapon must be a full-time staff member of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

The winner will receive $5,000 in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

HIRING HERO

Talent Market’s Hiring Hero Award rewards a hiring manager who exemplifies excellent hiring practices and serves as a model for how organizations can successfully attract, evaluate, and hire talent.

There’s no nomination process for this one. Since we have a front-row seat to hundreds of searches each year, Talent Market will select the winner based on our own interactions with hiring managers.

The winner will receive $5,000 in recognition of their exceptional contributions.
