About the Role
The Communications Associate will support the development and execution of strategic communications that elevate the Archbridge Institute’s mission, research, and brand. This role plays a central part in crafting clear, compelling messages across digital and traditional platforms to reach policymakers, media outlets, thought leaders, partners, and the general public.

The ideal candidate combines strong writing and project management skills with an entrepreneurial mindset and agentic thinking. This position is designed for an early-career professional looking for hands-on experience and opportunities to develop new skills.

The Communications Associate will report directly to the Director of Communications & Marketing. This is a virtual role that can be based anywhere within the U.S.

This role is being offered in conjunction with the Koch Associate Program (KAP). Candidates are strongly encouraged to apply to KAP, though admission is not a condition of employment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the Institute’s presence on social media platforms, ensuring consistent voice and engagement (X, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube).
  • Assist in developing and implementing communication strategies that advance the Institute’s mission and key initiatives.
  • Draft, edit, and refine written content, including newsletters, website updates, and research summaries.
  • Plan and create multimedia content (graphics, video clips) to support projects and engage new audiences.
  • Track communications performance and metrics; contribute insights for ongoing improvement.
  • Maintain organized documentation of communications assets.
  • Collaborate with staff and contractors to ensure consistent voice and visual design across products.

Qualifications
Required:

  • 0-3+ years of experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate complex research and policy content into clear, engaging messages.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A strong interest in state policy and alignment with free market ideas.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Experience in a policy, research, nonprofit, or think tank setting.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, WordPress, MailChimp, Social Media Platforms, and Canva.
  • Knowledge of current affairs and policy issues related to human flourishing (economics, psychology, and culture).

Compensation: $50,000, or salary commensurate with experience.
