June 9, 2025

Young America’s Foundation (YAF) is the leading young conservative organization, introducing high school and college students to the Conservative Movement. As the principal outreach organization of the Conservative Movement, YAF leverages its robust campus lecture program and essential conferences to inspire thousands of students annually with the ideas of individual freedom, a strong national defense, free enterprise, and traditional values. YAF also preserves and protects Ronald Reagan’s ranch home, Rancho del Cielo, in Santa Barbara, California, and the Reagan Boyhood Home in Dixon, Illinois.

The Salesforce Administrator will report to the Chief Operating Officer.

This is an in-office position based at YAF’s national headquarters in Reston, Virginia.

Job Summary:

YAF is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Salesforce Administrator to manage and optimize our Salesforce CRM platform. This role is crucial in maintaining data integrity, improving system functionality, supporting users across departments, and ensuring our CRM supports strategic engagement with our constituents (donors, students, alumni, and allies).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary system administrator for YAF’s Salesforce CRM platform
  • Manage system administration and customization for YAF’s program, development, communications, and donor records needs
  • Manage user setup, roles, profiles, permissions, and access levels (under the direction of YAF’s leadership)
  • Ensure sensitive data and user access are protected
  • Customize objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and workflows to support YAF’s operations
  • Monitor data quality, deduplication, and integrity across all constituent categories: donors, students, alumni, and allies
  • Create and send reports as needed for YAF’s various departments
  • Work with development, programs, and communication teams to streamline their use of Salesforce
  • Coordinate with external consultants or developers as needed for advanced customization or integration projects
  • Conduct regular system audits, prepare for upgrades, and stay current on Salesforce releases and features
  • Build and maintain documentation related to processes, configurations, and policies
  • Analyze data and generate actionable insights through reporting for program impact, fundraising, and other campaigns
  • Support and train staff on Salesforce best practices and processes

This job description is representative of the expectations of the position described. Additional duties, reporting relationships, and/or position criteria may be assigned. YAF reserves the right to revise this job description at any time.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Salesforce Administrator experience
  • Experience with data migration and custom development
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce and a desire to continue learning
  • Committed to and enthusiastic about YAF’s mission and programs
  • Salesforce Administrator certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Familiarity with third-party platforms (Anedot, Hubspot, and other marketing and event planning tools)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to translate technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Understanding of compliance and data security standards related to donor and student information
  • Willingness to comply with YAF policies, procedures, and practices

Application Instructions:

Qualified candidates should submit the following application materials (in order) in one PDF document:

  • Cover letter including:
    • An introductory paragraph(s) describing three distinct reasons you are drawn to YAF’s mission and how you came to those beliefs.
    • Salary requirements
  • Resume

Wait, You’re a Nonprofit?

Talent Market is a nonprofit. We’ll wait here while that sinks in. We know it’s a crazy concept, but it’s been working like a charm since 2009.

Talent Market’s mission is to promote liberty by providing talent for critical roles within the free-market nonprofit sector.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )

Talent Market believes that the road to prosperity is paved with freedom and that the success of our movement hinges on the talent that will take us there.
