About the Role:
Students For Liberty (SFL) is looking for a Community Growth Manager to lead the expansion, engagement, and long-term development of our Group Network. This role is central to growing SFL’s grassroots presence by recruiting new groups, strengthening our existing campus footprint, and supporting students in building or revitalizing active SFL chapters to develop an ecosystem of pro-liberty student organizations, professors, and aligned campus partners across North America.
The ideal candidate is a relationship builder with strong follow-through, a strategic mindset, and a passion for helping liberty-minded students find community and purpose.
This position is fully virtual and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Group Network Expansion & Recruitment:
- Identify, reach out to, and onboard new student groups, professors, and liberty-friendly campus organizations into SFL’s Group Network.
- Work directly with students to establish new SFL chapters or strengthen existing ones, helping them grow visibility and activity on campus.
- Design targeted outreach strategies for underrepresented regions, institutions, and issue-aligned communities.
- Position SFL’s programs, resources, and leadership opportunities as value-adds for student-led groups.
Community Engagement & Support:
- Maintain relationships with active groups and professors, ensuring consistent communication and support.
- Organize regular touchpoints and seasonal engagement campaigns to maintain involvement and visibility.
- Help motivated groups or individuals transition into the LC Program.
Communication & Content Coordination:
- Manage newsletters and email communications tailored to Group Network contacts.
- Create onboarding guides, toolkits, and promotional materials that cater to the needs of student groups.
- Ensure messaging aligns with SFL’s values and engages diverse audiences across the liberty movement.
Tracking & Strategy Integration:
- Maintain and update a CRM/database of all group contacts, engagement levels, and participation history using tools like Airtable or Notion.
- Analyze participation trends, track growth, and evaluate the strength of the Group Network as a recruitment and engagement funnel.
- Work to integrate group engagement with events, retreats, and campaign opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Deep commitment to SFL’s mission of advancing individual liberty, free markets, and peace.
- 2+ years of experience in outreach, organizing, community development, or volunteer management.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Experience managing outreach workflows and contact pipelines using CRMs would be beneficial.
- Highly organized, self-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel for events and in-person student engagement (~20%)
