About the Organization
Young Voices’ mission is to cultivate the next generation of thought leaders for liberty in policy, journalism, and academia. Founded in 2013, Young Voices mentors and promotes 100+ pro-liberty communicators each year through our flagship Contributor Program, helping them place 150+ media hits per month in print, radio, and TV.

Our writers make the principled case for liberty to millions of persuadable readers across mainstream and emerging media. We also host the Dissident Project, a speakers bureau for immigrants who escaped tyranny and now share their stories with students nationwide.

About the Role
Young Voices is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead our digital presence and elevate our contributors’ voices across major and emerging platforms. This role will craft and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that strengthens Young Voices’ brand, engages new audiences, and showcases our contributors’ work through creative storytelling and dynamic content.

  • Plan, create, and post engaging multimedia content—graphics, videos, and threads—aligned with campaign goals and messaging priorities.
  • Maintain a consistent posting calendar and brand voice across channels.
  • Track social media analytics, audience engagement, and growth trends; provide monthly performance reports with recommendations.
  • Collaborate with staff and contributors to amplify media hits, promote events, and highlight key stories and initiatives.
  • Produce short-form video content, including cutting and posting clips from contributor appearances within 24 hours.
  • Lead contributor training in social media best practices, helping participants refine their personal brand and expand their digital reach.
  • Contribute to the broader Content Team’s strategy and objectives for FY26.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in social media management, digital communications, or marketing (internship experience included; nonprofit or agency experience preferred).
  • Demonstrated success in growing online audiences and executing data-informed content strategies.
  • Strong command of social media tools, trends, and analytics platforms.
  • Proficiency in content creation, especially short-form video editing and basic graphic design (Canva, Adobe Express, or similar).
  • Excellent copywriting skills with an eye for visual storytelling and audience engagement.
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter who thrives on experimentation and measurable results.
  • Experience managing staff or interns is preferred but not required for this role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • Deep alignment with Young Voices’ pro-liberty mission.

Compensation: $50,000–$70,000, commensurate with experience.
