About the Role
The Program Operations + Outreach Coordinator will manage key operational and engagement functions for TFAS programs, including student housing, recruitment, programming, admissions, and media projects. Duties include overseeing summer housing as the Student Housing Liaison, planning and delivering student programming in the spring and summer, processing applications and managing the CRM, creating video content and supporting recruitment initiatives. The successful candidate will be highly organized, collaborative and creative, with strong communication, video editing and event planning skills.

This person is a part of the TFAS Collegiate Programs + Alumni Engagement team and will report to the Division Director of Outreach, Engagement + Program Operations. This position is based in-person, in Washington, D.C. and will require some domestic travel, approximately 15%.

Position Responsibilities

Program Operations

  • Plan and execute student activities for spring and summer programs, including professional development and cultural excursions.
  • Coordinate event production for major events, including orientation, site briefings, special receptions and graduation.
  • Serve as the liaison with student housing partners and manage student housing assignments, communication and on-site problem-solving.
  • Maintain program timelines, checklists and documentation for repeatable execution year-to-year.

Video and Content Creation

  • Develop social media and video content to showcase student experiences, alumni stories and program highlights.
  • Capture, edit and organize event photos and videos for social media, website and promotional use.
  • Hire and coordinate outside photographers or videographers as needed.
  • Collaborate with communications staff to integrate photo and video assets into recruitment and engagement campaigns.
  • Maintain an organized archive of media assets for easy future use.
  • Ensure all media aligns with TFAS branding guidelines.

Admissions and Outreach

  • Assist with student recruitment and admissions, including application processing, data management and communication with applicants.
  • Represent TFAS at recruitment events, conferences and campus visits.
  • Design marketing materials, email campaigns and digital content to prospective students, faculty, alumni, volunteers and internship partners.
  • Create graphics for marketing campaigns, social media and wayfinding materials
  • Analyze recruitment and admissions data to inform strategy and reporting.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:

  • 2–5 years of experience in communications, event planning, video editing, higher education or related fields (internships may count).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Teams. Experience with Canva, Adobe Products, or a CRM is a plus.
  • Strong communication, writing and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in photo/video production and editing; experience managing outside vendors
  • Detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works well independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in student programming with a focus on free-market education.
  • Bachelor’s degree.

This is a full-time, permanent position. The projected salary range for this role is $45-65k, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
