How you’ll make impact:
SPN is seeking a Manager of Content. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and elevate SPN’s voice across all platforms. You would lead the development of compelling, audience-specific content and manage the organization’s brand identity to ensure consistency, clarity, and resonance with donors, members, and the public. If you have five plus years’ experience crafting and implementing strategic content and branding initiatives AND you’re craving an opportunity to contribute to the resurgence of Federalism in America, this might be your dream job!
This role will report to the Vice President of Communications. Much of SPN’s staff are remote and this position is eligible to work remotely from a virtual office anywhere in the United States,
Your Day-to-Day:
- Contribute to and execute an integrated content strategy across print and digital platforms (website, email, social media, publications, videos, etc.), working with Vice President of Communications, as well as the Digital Director and Media Relations Director to find alignment among all outward facing communications.
- Oversee the development of high-quality, targeted content that aligns with organizational priorities and appeals to key audiences.
- Plan and manage a content calendar that supports major campaigns, policy launches, and donor initiatives.
- Write, edit, and/or approve content including reports, articles, fundraising appeals, talking points, newsletters, and other print and digital copy.
- Tailor content to specific audiences: donors (e.g., impact reports, case statements), members (e.g., newsletters, webinars, etc), and the public (e.g., articles, listicles, etc).
- Maintain editorial standards and ensure clarity, accuracy, tone, and adherence to brand voice among all staff and contract writers.
- Steward the organization’s brand, ensuring consistency in messaging, visual identity, and tone across all communication channels.
- Collaborate with internal team and vendors to develop brand assets (logos, templates, style guides, etc.)
- Partner with departments including Development, Programs, Center for Practical Federalism, and Events to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure alignment of content goals.
