Manager of Donor Engagement
State Policy Network
Virtual

About Us (and You):
At State Policy Network, we’re building an America where personal freedom, innovation, and opportunity empower everyone to thrive. We’re a national nonprofit—but more than that, we’re the connector and champion behind a growing movement of state-based think tanks and partners working toward a freer society.
That’s where you come in. In this role, you won’t just be a spectator—you’ll be in the thick of it, working alongside bold leaders to ignite durable, state-level freedom movements. Together, we’ll help high-performing, independent think tanks make a real impact—one state at a time.
How you’ll make impact:
SPN is seeking a Manager of Donor Engagement to lead three key donor programs: legacy giving, the direct mail program, and mid-level donor giving ($1,000 – $10,000). This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building and optimizing donor programs, cultivating and stewarding current donor relationships, and collaborating across teams. This role combines traditional annual fund responsibilities with a heavy focus on our mid-level donors, especially those that require personalized engagement to grow their support or become potential legacy donors.
The ideal candidate has strong project management skills, development, and direct mail experience. You’ll measure success through meaningful interactions with a core group of our supporters, growth in retention and revenue from these supporters, strong program performance, and the movement of supporters into major gift portfolios or the legacy program. This position is critical to ensuring the retention and growth in revenue for some of our most loyal supporters, as well as serving as a future pipeline for potential major gift donors and donors who include SPN in their estate plans.
The Manager of Donor Engagement will report to the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships.
This role includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus benefits. Much of SPN’s staff are remote and this position is eligible to work remotely from a virtual office anywhere in the United States.
