Job Summary:
Philanthropy Roundtable is seeking a Design Production Manager to lead design and oversee the production process for the organization’s content and materials.
The Design Production Manager will work alongside Philanthropy Roundtable’s Senior Director of Communications to steward the Roundtable’s visual brand by creating and managing the production of all design materials for the organization’s research papers, website, events collateral, video and print projects. They will serve as the lead creative, manage internal requests and workflow, and supervise outside vendors, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of the organization’s content.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Communications and work from the Roundtable’s Washington, DC office at least 3 days a week.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and Production:
- Serve as a graphic designer with an eye for detail and a grounding in design principles. Build a cohesive visual identity across all materials, ensuring consistency in branding.
- Design and produce a wide range of visually compelling products such as research reports, brochures, event materials, presentations, digital graphics, and other collateral as needed.
Design Project Management
- Develop and maintain internal workflows and production timelines to receive and process creative requests, ensuring high-quality, timely delivery of design assets.
- Liaise between departments to understand the audience and goals of design projects, communicate timelines and deliverables to internal stakeholders, and proactively manage expectations across the organization.
- Coordinate with print and digital vendors to ensure high-quality final production of event materials.
- Leverage existing vendor support and identify new opportunities to deliver on the organization’s creative vision and needs, while ensuring quality, consistency and efficiency.
- Own outcomes, not tasks.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in design, creative services, or multimedia production
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat
- Web design and production experience using HTML/CSS and WordPress
- Proven track record of successfully leading projects from initiative to completion on time, on budget
- Solution-oriented team player who finds joy in bringing order to creative workflows
- Experience managing external vendors and creative service providers
- Working knowledge of accessible design best practices
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Knowledge of Salesforce and related marketing applications and plugins
- Experience in leading the design, testing, production and execution of messaging campaigns or product development initiatives
Travel: Less than 5% of time per year for Roundtable events. All travel will be domestic.
Salary: The projected annual salary range is $75,000-$80,000, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate.
