About the Role:
The Educator & Scholar, PragerU Kids will provide academic leadership, research expertise, and a polished public presence to advance PragerU’s educational and content initiatives. This role will guide the academic direction of our content, ensuring accuracy, rigor, and alignment with PragerU’s mission, while also representing our work in educational and professional settings.
We’re seeking a scholarly educator with classroom experience at the high school or junior high level. The ideal candidate is both an accomplished teacher, educator and history buff who can speak authoritatively at conferences, panels, and events about the educational value of PragerU’s content, while guiding the course material, particularly in the fields of Civics, History (US & World), and Western Civilization.
Working under our Leadership (CEO, Executive Director, VP of Kids), the Educator & Scholar will interface with various divisions of our organization, guiding the educational standards and needs as PragerU ensures we keep teaching what isn’t currently taught (or taught well) in the school systems.
This role will be based in-office in Los Angeles, CA with limited travel required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the academic curriculum, needs, quality and accuracy of PragerU content across videos, books, magazines, and digital media
- Apply expertise in Civics, U.S./World History, and Western Civ. educational programming
- Ensure all content communicates a consistent pro-American message and aligns with PragerU’s mission and vision
- Use strong editorial judgment to confirm content reflects organizational leadership and standards
- Develop a deep understanding of PragerU’s body of work to maintain continuity, consistency, and brand voice
- Write and edit in a clear, modern, and engaging style that makes complex ideas accessible to diverse audiences
- Partner with creative, production, and leadership teams to develop and advance content initiatives
- Represent PragerU Kids at conferences, panels, and events, serving as a scholarly and polished voice for our educational work
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Successful Candidates Will Possess:
- Master’s degree required
- Demonstrated expertise in Civics, History, Western Civ.
- Teaching experience at the high school or junior high level required
- Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to present complex research in an engaging and accessible way
- Hunger for learning, reading, researching
- Strong editorial judgment with the ability to ensure content aligns with organizational leadership and values
- Confident public speaker, polished and professional, able to represent PragerU at conferences, panels, and events
- Familiarity with (or willingness to quickly learn) PragerU’s content, tone, and audience
- Commitment to PragerU’s mission and pro-American, Judeo-Christian values
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $140,000-$200,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
