Open Therapy Institute (OTI) is a nonprofit addressing socio-political bias in mental health care. We focus on issues often neglected because of bias, from the mental health costs of self-censorship and men’s issues to transgender and faith issues. We work toward this goal in four steps: 1) build scholarship with our academic journal, 2) advance ideas through trainings for professionals and media engagement, 3) build a professional community through our membership, and 4) help this community connect to the millions of patients who are poorly served because of bias in the field.

OTI is seeking a Project Manager to ensure that major organizational initiatives are clearly scoped, properly sequenced, and delivered on time. This role translates executive priorities into coordinated execution across programs, partnerships, marketing support, and operational projects.

This is a full-time position that can be based virtually anywhere in the United States. The Project Manager reports to the Vice President of Operations and works closely with the President.

Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for translating organizational priorities into structured execution. This role owns project planning, timeline management, cross-functional coordination, and follow-through across programs, partnerships, communications, and operational initiatives. In addition to initiative ownership, this role supports the logistical and communications work required to deliver programs effectively. The position requires comfort operating at both the planning level and the detailed execution level. Success in this role is measured by reliability, strong practical judgment, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to reduce friction for leadership while keeping projects on track.
