About Open Discourse Coalition
Founded in 2020 by a group of concerned alumni, Open Discourse Coalition is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit that promotes a variety of intellectual viewpoints at Bucknell University and beyond.
Open Discourse Coalition helps students and faculty express and hear a diverse set of opinions and ideas in a respectful setting without fear of retribution. We do this by providing a physical space where students and professors can create a tolerant community dedicated to intellectual diversity through the advancement of individual rights, civil liberties, democracy, and free enterprise.
ODC’s Postgraduate Leadership Fellowship honors Bill Gruver’s legacy of mentorship and leadership through a career spanning from the deck of a nuclear submarine to the boardroom to the classroom, and defined by a lifelong commitment to developing generations of student leaders.
