The Opportunity
The Event Planner designs and delivers purposeful gatherings that unite people to connect and celebrate the impact of Bill Daniels and the Daniels Fund. From the earliest spark of an idea through post-event evaluation, this position approaches every event with care and intentionality, ensuring that each detail reflects a greater purpose. Entrusted with creating experiences that embody Bill’s values, hospitality, and commitment to excellence, the Event Planner blends hospitality, strategy, and technology to deliver high-quality, data-informed events that strengthen relationships and help inspire others to carry forward the Daniels Fund’s enduring legacy of generosity.
The Event Planner is a new role with Daniels Fund and will join a small, high-performing team that works closely with senior leadership and staff. This position facilitates both planning and execution, with the team operating as intentional stewards of Bill’s values and resources.
The Role
The Event Planner will:
- Support the coordination and execution of 60+ events annually, spanning all event elements—from concept development and budgeting to logistics management and post-event evaluation.
- Work with leadership, internal teams, and other stakeholders to define event objectives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Manage on-site event operations, including setup, coordination, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct post-event evaluations to measure success and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors, venues, and service providers.
- Develop detailed event timelines, floor plans, and schedules to ensure seamless execution.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and provide regular financial updates to leadership.
- Manage event invitation lists, RSVPs, and guest communications using Salesforce and event technology platforms.
- Oversee event invitations, registration materials, and related communications in collaboration with internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety, health, and legal regulations for all events.
- Stay abreast of event industry trends, technologies, and best practices to bring fresh and innovative ideas.
- Maintain accurate event and guest data within the Salesforce, ensuring data integrity, reporting accuracy, and timely updates.
- Prepare post-event reports and insights, including attendance metrics, budget performance, and qualitative feedback, to support continuous improvement.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
- Work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
This is a full-time position based in Denver, Colorado.

There is no explicit requirement for years of experience. We are looking for the right person to grow within our foundation and team.
Compensation and Benefits
The total compensation for this position will be in the range of $80,000 to $100,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Daniels Fund offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, vision insurance, long-term disability, life insurance, a matched 401k retirement plan and a host of additional benefits.
