The Opportunity

Today, his legacy continues through the Daniels Fund, where communications play a central role in advancing our mission and ensuring Bill’s values remain alive in the public square.
The Media & Communications Manager will join a high-performing team dedicated to amplifying the Fund’s impact and strengthening its reputation as one of the region’s most respected private foundations. From shaping press strategies to preparing the CEO for high-profile engagements, from building trusted relationships with journalists to weaving narratives that showcase the Fund’s impact, this role is an opportunity to be a trusted storyteller, a relationship-builder, and a guardian of Bill Daniels’ legacy. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and gain exposure to national-level initiatives.
This is a full-time, in-person position located in Denver, CO.
The Role
The Media & Communications Manager will:
- Shape and distribute press releases, media advisories, op-eds, speeches, and talking points that elevate the Fund’s mission and priorities.
- Monitor media coverage, conduct research, and prepare timely news summaries and briefing materials for the CEO, leadership team, and board.
- Manage press inquiries, coordinate interviews, and oversee logistics for media events.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with local and national reporters.
- Prepare and support the CEO and staff for interviews, briefings, and public engagements.
- Coordinate crisis communication efforts with professionalism and discretion.
- Track communications metrics, analyze results, and contribute to strategic planning.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
This position requires occasional evening, and weekend travel commitments – likely up to 10% of the time.

There is no explicit requirement for years of experience. We are looking for the right person to grow within our foundation and team.
Compensation and Benefits
The total compensation for this position will be in the range of $110,000 to $130,000 and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Daniels Fund offers a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, paid holidays, health, dental, vision insurance, long-term disability, life insurance, a matched 401k retirement plan and a host of additional benefits.
