Overview
The Claremont Institute seeks a Graphic Designer to support our rapidly expanding communications, marketing, and fundraising efforts. This role will help shape how Claremont presents its work to the public in order to strengthen our brand, expand our reach, and advance our mission to restore the principles of the American Founding in American political life.
The ideal candidate for this role has a keen eye for detail, is a strong collaborator and understands the importance of brand consistency throughout their work. Our Graphic Designer will work closely with the Digital Communications Manager and Communications Director to create assets and materials for The Claremont Institute channels, as well as for publications, such as the Claremont Review of Books and The American Mind, and projects such as the Center for the American Way of Life and Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent brand visual guide to inform and influence all assets and materials for The Claremont Institute
- Produce content for The Claremont Institute websites, social media accounts, email marketing, and fundraising materials
- Create program materials for all Claremont events, including agendas/programs, flyers, and more
- Create or update existing digital and print collateral for various departments, including brochures, one-pagers, and more.
- Leverage graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Figma
- Collaborate with members of Claremont’s communications team to transform concepts into compelling designs and digital content
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a Graphic Design role is preferred
- Aligned with The Claremont Institute’s core values and mission statement.
- Proficiency with Adobe Suite products and Figma
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong team player with ability to coordinate with internal stakeholders and external organizations.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
Salary & Location
The projected annual salary range is $60,000-$70,000, contingent upon the specific skills and experience of the selected candidate. Salary is flexible, commensurate with experience.
This role can be based virtually anywhere in the US, or out of one of the Claremont Institute’s offices in Southlake, TX; Washington, DC; or Upland, CA.
