Position Summary:
FEE seeks an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to establish and lead our Project Management Office (PMO). The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing project management strategies that align with our organizational goals. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills to ensure projects are executed efficiently.
The Senior Project Manager will report to the President. This is an in-person role located in Atlanta, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and Lead the PMO:
- Develop and implement a standardized project management framework and methodologies.
- Define PMO policies, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Governance:
- Set up project governance structures to ensure alignment with FEE’s strategic objectives.
- Monitor compliance with project management standards and provide guidance as needed.
- Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the project portfolio to ensure optimal resource allocation and prioritization.
- Evaluate project performance and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement within project processes and implement enhancements.
- Promote best practices in project management across the organization.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure clear communication, alignment, and monitor projects metrics.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related inquiries and updates.
- Team Leadership:
- Mentor and support project managers and team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the project teams.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management roles.
- At least 2 years of experience leading a PMO or similar function.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing project management frameworks.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
- Alignment with the mission of FEE
- Ability to travel up to 10%
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Superior organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in project management tools and software.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced environment.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Relations or related field.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certification.
