MediaPedia, operating as a DBA of American Independent Media, is a nonprofit dedicated to exposing media bias and empowering Americans to seek truth without gatekeepers. Launched in January 2025, MediaPedia is building the largest, most transparent database of media outlets, journalists, and editorial influencers in the country—functioning like an IMDb for the news industry.
MediaPedia was created in response to the growing dominance of ideologically driven media watchdogs like NewsGuard and Ad Fontes, whose influence shapes which voices are amplified—and which are silenced. Through its proprietary MediaPedia Rating System (MRS), the organization provides the tools Americans need to assess the objectivity and transparency of the news they consume.
As a project of American Independent Media, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, MediaPedia is backed by a commitment to advancing viewpoint diversity, civil discourse, and the foundational values of a free society.
We are now seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-driven CEO to lead MediaPedia through its growth stage, scale its reach, and secure the resources needed to make media transparency a national priority.
