About the Role

Unleash Prosperity is seeking a proactive and highly organized Special Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative, research, and logistical support to the Co-Founder and Executive Director. This dynamic role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, flexibility, and a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced policy environment.

The Special Assistant will serve as a key liaison across UP operations, acting as the “eyes and ears” of the organization and ensuring seamless communication among stakeholders, including contractors and senior staff. Occasional regional and domestic travel is required, along with availability beyond standard working hours, including weekends when necessary.

This role will report to the Co-Founder and Executive Director. This is an in-person role based in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

  • Administrative & Logistical Support
    • Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings
    • Arrange travel, accommodations, and ground transportation
    • Maintain office systems including data management and filing
    • Screen and handle phone calls, mail, and email correspondence
    • Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting
  • Executive Support
    • Prepare UP staff for meetings, interviews, and speaking engagements
    • Support engagements and travel related to their professional obligations
    • Communicate critical information across UP teams and stakeholders
  • Research & Writing
    • Analyze data sets and create charts and graphs for presentations and reports
    • Draft and edit policy papers, opinion pieces, and Congressional testimony
    • Collaborate with research teams and contribute to action items

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in research, writing, administration, or other relevant experience. Relevant internship experience will be considered.
  • Alignment with UP’s mission and vision for America
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%
    • Ability to travel locally; must have access to a personal vehicle (reimbursed for mileage/gas)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong internet research skills (including AI); database experience a plus
  • Strategic thinker with excellent instincts and foresight
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Professional demeanor and discretion
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with the congressional environment and basic policy issues
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Preferred focus in economics)

Compensation

The projected salary for this role is $45,000-60,000, depending on skills and experience.
