Since 1953 the Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) has been inspiring deep-thinking conservative college students, faculty, and alumni to understand and advance the foundations that make America free and prosperous. These key principles include limited government, individual liberty, personal responsibility, the rule of law, free markets, and traditional values.
About the Opening
ISI is seeking a full-time Associate Development Officer (ADO) responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting major gifts. The successful candidate would manage a growth portfolio of individual donors, major donor prospects, and foundations located nationally with some concentration in California and the Midwest. The primary purpose of the ADO is to secure funds for ISI by qualifying donors, fulfilling their philanthropic interests and passions, by providing them with giving opportunities, encouraging them to give, and assuring that as many as possible are retained as continuing donors to ISI and are upgraded in their support and involvement. The ADO would be expected to conduct regular personal meetings with donors and donor prospects and make solicitations, employing an effective moves management strategy, and having exhibited in the past success securing gifts in the five and six-figure range. Ideally, the ADO would work out of ISI’s National Headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, but remote locations will be considered on an individual basis. The ADO reports to the Vice President, Philanthropy.

The Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty is a law and policy organization based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Established in 2011, WILL has become one of the preeminent state-based litigation centers and think tanks in the country, growing to nine lawyers. Through strategic litigation and timely policy reports, WILL seeks to advance the public interest in free markets, limited government, individual liberty and a robust civil society, including educational freedom and reform.
On its litigation side, WILL has become a frequent litigant in the state and federal courts (it is one of the most frequent litigants in the state Supreme Court), seeking to develop the law in ways that will serve its mission. It now seeks an additional associate counsel to join its fight for freedom.
