AFFT looks for team members who are driven, self-motivated, and want to learn from others. Our team is passionate about constitutional rights, individual freedom, and personal responsibility.

AFFT is a growing organization with ample opportunity for advancement. We offer health insurance, dental and vision insurances, along with a generous PTO plan, life insurance plan, medical-leave plans, and a retirement plan with employer match.

The Opportunity

The Community Manager will manage and cultivate the social media presence of Americans for Fair Treatment. They live and breathe social media and actively participate in community development and management, social bookmarking, commenting, and other engagement and are always on the lookout for new ways to connect with our members and potential new members.

  • Keep up to date on social and content best practices
  • Work with the larger Communications team to create overarching brand and social strategies
  • Assist the communications and organizing department with campaigns

Qualifications

  • Understand and support AFFT’s mission and values
  • At least 1-2 years of experience managing social media platforms or communities for a nonprofit, corporation, or agency; candidates without professional social media experience who have built a strong personal brand on social media will also be considered; internships may be considered experience
  • Experience publishing for a brand and responding to comments and questions across social media platforms
  • Experience using Canva to create social graphics
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced virtual environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A good sense of humor!

Wait, You’re a Nonprofit?

Talent Market is a nonprofit. We’ll wait here while that sinks in. We know it’s a crazy concept, but it’s been working like a charm since 2009.

Talent Market’s mission is to promote liberty by providing talent for critical roles within the free-market nonprofit sector.

We provide consulting and recruiting services at no cost to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that clearly and directly focus on advancing the principles of economic freedom, free enterprise, free trade, free speech, property rights, rule of law, and limited regulation. (We do not work with political organizations, organizations with mission statements that do not clearly advance free-market principles, organizations that focus on social issues, or organizations that have a focus outside of the United States. We are not a job board. )

Talent Market believes that the road to prosperity is paved with freedom and that the success of our movement hinges on the talent that will take us there.
