Pacific Legal Foundation—the nation’s first and most successful pro-liberty public interest law firm dedicated to vindicating the rights fundamental to a free society—seeks an outstanding writer to join our fundraising team as a Foundation Relations Officer. Primary responsibilities include writing clear, compelling foundation grant proposals that secure significant financial support for PLF’s programs and initiatives.
PLF is setting the stage for a strategic expansion and this position provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to play a key role on a team that will increase PLF’s national visibility and prominence. The position requires superior writing and editing skills; a keen understanding of how to strategically translate an organization’s mission and priorities into compelling funding projects; and a highly-organized, persistent, and disciplined self-starter.
The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of professional fundraising experience, preferably including a proven track record of securing significant foundation grant support and effectively managing donor relationships. The successful candidate will possess an understanding of and appreciation for the importance of protecting individuals from unconstitutional government intrusion. Previous work at a pro-liberty organization and experience with Raiser’s Edge are a definite plus.

A national non-profit organization, PLF has offices in Sacramento, California; Arlington, VA; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; and Bellevue, Washington. The successful candidate may choose to be located in one of those offices or work virtually from home.
