The Mercatus Center at George Mason University seeks a senior regulatory economist to work on high profile social regulations. The successful applicant will work as part of the Mercatus regulatory studies program and report to the director for policy studies.
Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting primary research on the effects of social regulation, that is, regulations that are issued by such agencies as EPA, OSHA, FDA, DHS, USDA and others.
- Writing shorter policy papers as well as op-eds.
- Participating in various academic events representing the Mercatus Center.
- Providing press interviews and testimony before Congress when relevant.
