The National Center for Public Policy Research (NCPPR), a non-profit DC-based educational foundation with annual revenues in excess of $12 million, is seeking an experienced fundraiser to direct its development department.
The position entails overseeing all aspects of NCPPR’s development: foundation and corporate fundraising; direct mail; planned giving; fulfillment; major gifts; event planning; research and more. NCPPR has a relatively small development staff, so this will be an opportunity for someone to have exposure to all aspects of fundraising. While the Development Director’s work will be diverse, there will be an emphasis on written communications; specifically, proposal writing. The Development Director will occasionally be called upon to engage in one-on-one donor meetings, though many of the major asks will fall on the shoulders of NCPPR’s President. The Development Director will manage one individual, and will work closely with that team member and the President to maintain the organization’s strong financial health.
