The Director of Strategic Engagement will lead the organization’s efforts to raise the resources necessary to deliver world class programming and customized guidance to the philanthropic community. This position will play a leadership role in setting the strategy and direction for fundraising for the organization by creating and implementing a development plan. In addition to guiding the strategy for the fundraising team, the Director will advise the President on his fundraising strategy and activities.
The Director will manage three staff members, two working on foundation grants and the coordinator who, among other responsibilities, focuses on donor research and data for the team. The Director will oversee the direct mail program for prospecting and membership renewal and will develop relationships, as appropriate, with Roundtable donors.
The Philanthropy Roundtable is America’s leading network of charitable donors working to strengthen our free society, uphold donor intent, and protect the freedom to give. The Roundtable currently has a $10 million budget and approximately 660 members, which include individual philanthropists, families, and private and community foundations. Given the nature of the Roundtable’s work, relationships with many of our top funders are maintained by the President and our program directors who work closely with these grant makers on their giving. Therefore, fundraising directly from donors involved with the organization can be secondary to engaging a member or prospect in the programs of the Roundtable.
