As the Charles Koch Institute continues to drive national conversations around critical issues to a free and open society, we have identified an exciting opportunity for a deputy director on our policy team. The deputy director will be known as a trusted leader and strategic adviser within the Institute leadership team and the organization. This person will provide leadership over a partnership and advocacy strategy to connect and align the activities of the wider policy team to the Institute’s organizational priorities. The strategy is expected to connect research, public representation, and partnership-building activities to the larger vision of the organization and connected groups. The deputy director will set the strategy for these activities and identify opportunities for expansion. Additionally, this person will provide direct oversight of a team of 18-20 policy and outreach professionals with additional mentorship responsibility of 10-12 junior staff members. As part of the leadership function and the strategy they will be tasked with setting, the deputy director will be strongly positioned to identify opportunities for professional development and identify talent gaps to accomplishing that strategy.
