As Pacific Legal Foundation marches toward its 45th anniversary next year, we are redefining what it means to be a public interest law firm. This includes aggressively expanding our organizational footprint and seeking talented attorneys of all levels of experience to join our legal team.
If you share a passion to use your legal skills to vindicate the principles of freedom and individual liberty, you should be a part of PLF, no matter where you live. Our successful team of tenacious litigators is located across the United States, as well as in offices in Sacramento, California; Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Bellevue, Washington; and Arlington, Virginia. The right candidates will have the ability to work in these existing locations or elsewhere—virtually or from a physical office.
Our attorneys identify and litigate important legal issues to set landmark precedent that will benefit Americans nationwide. Using strategic and principled litigation, communications, and research, we battle for freedom in the nation’s courts and the court of public opinion. Our attorneys have brought 11 cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, winning nine—a record unmatched by anyone in the liberty movement. Simply put, we know how to get cases to the Supreme Court and we know how to win. Sound like the reason you became an attorney? Then you ought to apply.
These are all full-time, permanent positions. We offer a competitive salary, health and dental benefits, and retirement plan. PLF has a flexible, collaborative, and collegial work environment. We take pride in investing in the future of our talent, encouraging internal advancement, and celebrating accomplishment. We’re the place for someone principled, positive, and determined to succeed in establishing a rule of law under which we are secure in our inalienable rights to live responsibly and productively in pursuit of happiness. Join us.
Qualified candidates should submit the following in one PDF file with your name in the file:
- Résumé. The resume should have the usual: your experience in the liberty movement, your legal experience, as well as your academic credentials.
- Cover letter. The cover letter should explain why PLF is the place for you, why you want to fight for liberty, your interest in PLF’s issues and cases, and what distinguishes you from typical applicants. Please also include your salary requirements, the location where you would like to work, and a list of the states in which you have been admitted to the bar.
Please include “Constitutional Litigators, PLF– Your Name” in the subject line of your email. Materials should be emailed in one PDF document to Claire Dixon with Talent Market, who is assisting with the search: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications are reviewed as they are received. While we thank all applicants in advance for their interest in this position, we are only able to contact those to whom we can offer an interview. No phone calls, please.
